Dear Collaborators,
The KaonLT experiment is expected to start taking beam on March 20, and will run until April 15. There are still open shifts available, and we would really appreciate your help. Please note that the owl shifts count as 1.5 towards authorship requirements. As a reminder, the authorship requirements for the SIDIS-KaonLT run group are:
1. A collaborator that takes 18 shifts (for the spring 2018, fall 2018, and spring 2019 run combined) will be eligible for authorship on papers for all three experiments
2. 12 shifts for authorship on papers related to any 2 experiments
3. 6 shifts are requested for a single experiment
The goal of the experiment is to measure p(e,e'K+)Lambda L/T-separated cross sections above the resonance region, and should we find evidence of the K+ pole contribution, we will do the first precise K+ form factor extraction at higher Q^2. For more information, please visit: https://redmine.jlab.org/projects/kltexp/wiki/Kaon-LT_Experiment (also linked from the Hall C Wiki)
The shift schedule and shift sign up form can be found here:
https://misportal.jlab.org/mis/apps/physics/shiftSchedule/index.cfm?experimentRunId=HALLC-FALL-2018
and the read only version: https://misportal.jlab.org/mis/physics/shiftSchedule/?experimentRunId=HALLC-FALL-2018
Thanks and best wishes,
Tanja
(also for Garth and Pete)
