Hello everyone.
An additional important piece of news regarding the JLab Linux OS
transition described in my previous email is that the JLab batch farm
will switch to Alma 9 Linux starting with tonight's maintenance day.
This is a potentially breaking change, so please read on.
The majority of the farm nodes now run Alma9, and so you probably want
to migrate at this time. Simply ensure that your code is recompiled for
the new platform, and you should be able to submit farm jobs as before.
If you need to stick with CentOS7 for the next few weeks for your farm
jobs, you will have to specify the following SWIF2 option: --constraint=el7
I attach a recent email from the SciComp group with additional detail
and links to documentation.
Send any questions either to me or submit a ServiceNow ticket with a
detailed problem description.
Ole
