[Hallc] [EXTERNAL] Proposal for R-SIDIS Collaboration Meeting

Dear Colleagues,

Experiment E12-06-104, the measurement of R is semi-inclusive pion and kaon production (R-SIDIS) is scheduled to run in Hall C in spring 2025 along with some newly approved measurements of R for SIDIS from nuclei.

The spokespeople think it would be useful to have a short collaboration meeting of those interested in the experiment, sometime relatively soon. At this meeting we’ll discuss the physics goals, measurement plan, and hall status and preparation. We’re expecting that this first meeting would be no more than 3 hours and we’ll hold it by zoom.

Given that everyone is busy and students and instructors have classes, we’d like to propose a Saturday afternoon meeting on Sept 28, from 1-4pm, tentatively. We are only guessing that this helps people attend, so if a Saturday afternoon meeting makes that difficult for you, please let me (Ed Kinney) know (Edward.Kinney at colorado.edu<mailto:Edward.Kinney at colorado.edu>). If many cannot attend, we may try for a different date on a Friday afternoon.

Finally, we are sending this message to the large hallc_running and hallc lists to publicize the meeting, but we do have a growing rsidis-collaboration mailing list, which you are welcome to join. In the future, we’ll try to avoid using the hallc lists since they are so large and members are not necessarily interested in  this physics.
