- Yesterday was less productive due to longer accelerator downtime and some failures from our side.
- The accelerator was down for 9-10 hours (13:00 - 23:00) yesterday because of high voltage issue in zone 1L23 followed by 1L24 (see logbook entry: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3624096 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3624146).
- We started to take data for kinematic setting 1-12 as soon as the beam came back around 23:00.
- Kinematic group 1 was completed around 2:00 AM and we started to switch to kinematic group 5.
- All magnets were ramped to MOL and then back to target currents. Both spectrometers were set to specified angles (see logbook entry: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3624228).
- We had some hard time locking HMS dipole field. After going through all possible options under the instruction, we called Steve who locked it, and then we had to adjust current to make it within 5E-5 T. (see logbook entry: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3624212)
- Around 5:30 AM, the DAQ experienced a problem to initiate a run after run#6106 and was missing start-of-run log entry. It was resolved after seeking help from Brad. (See logbook entry: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3624285)
- Right now everything is running smoothly and we are taking data for CSV kinematics setting 5-7. The accelerator was able to provide current up to 50 uA.
- On Monday, MCC is expecting system recovery to last more than 4 hours than previously announced. It could now take 6-7 hours. They will take-away beam at 7:30 AM. There will be extended beam studies on Tuesday which is expected to last ~8 hours.
- Please let me know if anyone needs access during the system recovery tomorrow.
- No RC meeting today. We will resume RC meeting tomorrow.
