RC report:
Began swing shift with stable beam and collecting data for kinematic group 10. At ~19:12 the injector gun tripped off (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3626282) due to low pressure in SF6. Beam was restored into the hall at ~20:45 (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3626304) and data collection commenced. We had smooth running for the remainder of swing and throughout owl. At the start of day shift we began taking data on the last kinematic point of group 10 (10-12) and it estimated that will take ~ 4hrs to complete.
This morning Dave G. noticed a peculiar oscillation in the x beam position at 3C12 (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3626497) which seems to be correlated with the injector work that took us down for ~2 hrs previously. Jay B. commented that this behavior is likely linked to the failing 5th pass horizontal separator (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3626537). MCC is looking into it.
This morning at the 8 am meeting MCC indicated they are having issues in the machine that they would like to address prior to the weekend. They are seeing issues with 2L13’s power supply, amplifier, and CPS blower belt as well as issues with the 5th pass horizontal separator. Given the amount of work (and time requirements of > 2hr) it was decided that we would also perform the spot change during this time. If the planned work is successful then we should be configured for smooth running throughout the weened and system recovery which was tentatively planned for Monday (11/19) will no longer be required.
Given that we are only a few hours away from completing kinematic group 10, MCC will take the time leading up-to 1 pm to plan and stage their planned work. Once beam is taken away (tentatively 1 pm) we will configure the spectrometers for kinematic group 9.
Notices in effect for shift crews:
Shift leaders, please fill out the check list once per shift!
It is no longer required to fill out the standard.kinematics file online, it is now done automagically
Split the large desired charge between multiple runs (~1 hour per run)
Listed currents are estimates. For runs at less than 60uA, increase current until SHMS singles rates are between 400k-500k.

Planned accelerator configuration changes:
Thursday, Nov 15: system recovery, spot move, 2L13 maintenance, 5th pass horizontal separator work
Tuesday, Nov 20: CHL UPS battery change, should be noninvasive however, induce CHL anomaly is possible
Wednesday, Nov 21: Hall A goes offline and MCC wants to conduct high current beam study of energy spread at 40 uA. It is unclear that we will be effected
Monday, Nov 26: Energy change to 1.86 GeV/pass, we will be moved over to 500 MHz laser.
Planned accesses to the hall:
None
Special requests:
Brad S. would like to investigate HMS trigger components during the next long down (assuming it is during the day)
Carlos Munoz Camacho would like access to the hall to show Hall-C to two French engineers working on the NPS project. It should be a ~30 minute access, and is a low priority. He can be contacted at 357-1065
We will meet today at 4:30 pm in the second floor of the counting house.
