Target working is progressing well. The Target Team established  the target alignment to be within spec, which is a major milestone. The laser line alignment and polarization was commissioned for both longitudinal and transverse lines, and the laser power check is 50% finished. RTD fabrication was completed and the additional RTDs will be installed tonight. The team found a small issue with the positioning of a pickup coil, which should be easy to mitigate tonight. The target heating system is operational. Tonight, the target team will perform the last tasks that need physical hall access, and will verify that all read-backs and controls are functioning as required for the ERR. 

We are on road to fully close up the target on Friday. This would mean we could start 2-pass commissioning Friday night through the weekend. The spectrometers are ready to receive beam anytime. Bill Gunning and Mark Jones are preparing the raster for 2-pass operation.

Yesterday, Andy and Dave Gaskell noticed a leak in the helium warm return for the Hall C Moller. To fix, they are warming up the Moller and so they can replace some piping. This should be done on Friday before we close up. After this work, the Moller can be cooled down on Friday or Monday. Optimistically, we might be able to participate in the Spin Dance on Tuesday if Dave can cool down and commission the Moller in time.

There are still TO shifts available Friday-Saturday-Sunday during DAY and SWING. These are nice shifts! TO training is NOT a prerequisite, and you will receive personalized training from the target experts during your shift. So anyone can sign up!
