Accelerator Status:

Sep 07/08 Swing/Owl (yesterday, today):

2L18-4 Preventig filaments (16:34 - 17:06) 2L18-4

RSEP9A tripped off (22:21 - ~02:50) RSEP9A_trip

Injector cavity 0L04-04 not making gradient (5:05 - 5:56) INJ_grad, INJ_grad_follow-up

Injector OR region steering problem (6:21 - 7:42) INJ_OR_steering

*Not the best Owl shift the accelerator has had in terms of beam delivery during Owl (~50 min only)*

Sep 08 Day (today):

Accelerator working on trying to restore beam. As of 08:55, pathlength checked for Hall C beam and looks good. beam_pathlength_check

Beam restored to Hall C at ~ 09:00

General Hall C Updates:

Sep 07/08 Swing/Owl (yesterday, today):

Mingyu Chen updated the TO training slides with procedure for fitting pNMR, as there were issues with fitting program. See log-entry: pNMR_TO_update

During Sep 07 Swing, d2n production continued at IHWP = IN configuration. We still needed ~50 min. of "beam-on-target" before the next IHWP change, which we were able to obtain during Owl.

What are "acceptable" beam profile check (Harp scans) parameters? How much can we compromse with? Will bring up at RC meeting today. Harp_scans_Sep08_Owl

Beam Current History during Sep 07/08 Swing/Owl: Sep07_Swing, Sep08_Owl

Sep 08 Day (today):

As of 09:05, Hall C is receiving tune beam. Beam profile checks --> IHA3H07A, IHA3H07B

Will proceed wil Pol He3 scraping checks and and start d2n production for ~480 min at the IHWP = OUT configuration.

MCC 7:45 meeting NOTE: PD (Jay) informed Ops will need to sent beam to C as part of beam studies (Sep 08 Swing, 16:30 - 19:30). We will need to be in no "No Target" position during beam studies.

During beam studies today at Swing, we plan to do target temperature tests (target expert, Junhao Chen) which is expected to take ~3-4 hrs. Then we will spin-up the target to 270 deg and take d2n reference cell data
until ~40 polarization is achieved to start taking d2n Pol He3 production data.
