Accelerator Status:

Jan 26 Day/Swing (yesterday):

Beam Studies / RF Recovery

Jan 27 Owl/Day (today):

Tuned up Hall C line, and briefly sent 70 uA before XSEP8T tripped off, which only affects Hall C. Still no beam as of now. XSEP8T Fault

General Hall C Status:

Jan 26 Day/Swing (yesterday):

Hall C techs (thanks Larry, Jerry, Stan) installed and cabled Ion Chmaber (IC) between SHMS Q1 and beamline. See log-entries: IC-log1,
	IC-log2

Verified that SHMS could be rotated to 6.16 deg, with the IC installed. This is the smallest angle the Pion-LT experiment will be at in the next few days.

Steve Lassiter set a new hard limit of 6.15 deg on SHMS rotation. See log-entry SHMS Rotation Limit

Ellen Becker fixed SHMS Q1 Power Supply communication issue, which occurred while ramping SHMS Q1 down for IC installation. See log-entry SHMS Q1 Communication Issue

Jan 27 Owl/Day (today):

Physics beam was briefly restored to Hall C line for a brief period, enough to get a Carbon Hole check done.

While attempting to send 70 uA, XSEP8T tripped off and faulted multiple times. This affects only Hall C, as it is related to the 4th-pass separator extrator.
As of 08:51, still no fix.

Hall C PION-LT Data Collection/Analysis Status:

Jan 27 (today):

~57 % of data collected at current kinematics (statistical goal of 10,000 counts)

Current Kinematic Setting:
Q2 = 5, W = 2.95, x = 0.39, low-epsilon, (SHMS Left),
SHMS: 6.719 GeV/c, 8.17 deg
HMS: -1.104 GeV/c, 44.38 deg
