Accelerator Status:

Jan 28 Day/Swing (yesterday):

Very good beam throughout Day and Swing. Day Beam Summary, Swing Beam Summary

Jan 29 Owl/Day (today):

Very good beam throughout Owl, and hopefully throughout day shift. Owl Beam Summary

General Hall C Status:

Jan 28 Day/Swing (yesterday):

Very good beam quality which allowed us to complete Q2 = 5, W = 2.95, x = 0.39, low-epsilon, (SHMS Left) in early Owl.

Jan 29 Owl (today):

While changing kinematics to Current Kinematic Setting, HMS drive controller faulted. See log-entry HMS Drive Controller Fault

Long story short, we were not able to reset controller due to expert staff unavailability from both MCC and Hall C due to severe weather. Luckily for us, the HMS
drive controller faulted right at 25.036 deg (almost at the run plan setting of 25.02).

Resumed data-taking at this kinematics, and lucklily for us again, the rates were lower than expected from the plan, so we did not actually loose much time

Jan 29 Day (today):

We will go into Controlled Access after today's 10 am RC Daily Meeting, for D. Gaskell to reset HMS Drive Controller and change to smaller SHMS angle.

For a detailed run plan for today, please refer to: Jan 29 Day Shift Run Plan

Hall C PION-LT Data Collection/Analysis Status:

Jan 29 Owl (today):

We have reached ~100 % of LH2 data at Current Kinematic Setting. Then we'll take 1 hr-long of Al. Dummy data, and go back to LH2
data-taking for additional statistics until we coordinate Controlled Access after the RC Daily meeting.

Current Kinematic Setting:
Q2 = 2.45, W = 3.20, x = 0.21, low-epsilon, (SHMS Left),
SHMS: 6.265 GeV/c, 8.16 deg
HMS: -1.644 GeV/c, 25.035 deg
