There was some work done during the maintenance day yesterday, although we were delayed somewhat due to an issue with one of the oxygen sensors which has now been bypassed (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4036107). Bob (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4036078) and Jack (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4036172) separately looked into SHMS hut cooling, specifically roc4 as pointed out by Brad (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4035885). In fact, the underlying cause of the problem was that the main hall HVAC had failed. Facilities (Eric McDonald) came over, reset and restarted the HVAC. Ellen installed step-down transformers in the HMS quad supplies.

Beam was restored quite early in swing shift at around 6pm and we continued on with the run plan (https://redmine.jlab.org/attachments/1601). The Q2=1.60, W=3.08 Th_shms=7.50 setting at was completed around 4.30am during Owl. We then switched to the Heep-singles runs, which are continuing through the day shift. We are just starting the 6th of eight settings and therefore expect to complete the Heep-singles programme around lunchtime. The plan is to then move to a series of luminosity scans.

Following the completion of the luminosity scans, we need to move the SHMS to 6 degrees and begin data-taking for the Q2=1.60, W=3.08 Th_shms=6.00 setting.

There is a short accelerator downtime (~20 minutes) planned for 1pm.

Dave G and Dave M have some thoughts on low-current BCM calibration, which we can discuss in addition to the projected timeline at a brief RC meeting today 11:00 AM EST.
