After finishing the NPS work yesterday (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4255630), we closed the hall around noon and started tuning the NPS sweeper and correctors at 1pm. The beam could be delivered to the dump (without target in) at all settings. After that, we did the luminosity/background scans with LH2 and LD2 targets. From the scans we found that the first two columns (column 0 and 1) of the NPS calo have high anode currents. We decided to turn off those columns for this kinematics setting and set the maximum production currents to 5uA for LH2 and 3uA for LD2. Note that we have the NPS at 7.5 deg for this kinematics (KinC_x36_6). The data taking overnight and since then has been overall stable. We switched to LD2 target at the end of the Swing shift.

We will have a meeting at 11am today to discuss about some issues with the current kinematics, including the beam current normalization, limit of pmt anode current, pileup effects to the data.
