[Hallc_running] [New Logentry] RC update 16th March 2024

Currently we are unfortunately in an extended downtime due to an issue with HMS Q2.

Before the Q2 interlock issue, we were running well in production mode during the day shift yesterday. We were in the second cycle of KinC_x50_0 on LD2.

Shortly after 5pm the HMS Q2 interlocked and the normal reset procedures weren't working. Engineer on call was phoned in and similarly the normal reset procedures were not working. Ellen and Dave de-bugged the issue and Ellen's report is here: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4267539 .

We kept the Hall in controlled access and ran cosmics for the NPS calorimeter overnight.

Work will continue today on the repair as detailed in Ellen's log entry above. When there are any major developments or updates as the day continues we will post to the HCLOG.

Since it is not clear yet how long the repair will take, I am asking that swing and all shifts after that report as normal to the CH. But if there is any expected changes to that I will e-mail the shift crew directly.

We will not meet today for an RC meeting.
