[Hallc_running] [New Logentry] RC Update 20th March 2024

We have been in production mode since yesterday's update!

Yesterday day shift data was taken to complete Kinc_x50_0b, and start Kinc_x50_0a. For the a setting we had to turn of one more NPS column (ie columns 0-2 off).  There was a target heater alarm for loops 1 and 2. Swing shift was also mostly good for production running with kinematic x50_0a. There was a 1.5 hours down due to MCC IOC/BLM issues. Some alarm handler issues were spotted which we are currently investigating (please see their summary for details). Owl shift, they almost completed the LD2 for Kinc_x50_0a. The VMEs and VTPs were cycled twice due to anode current issues (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4269605). Thank you very much to Eric Fuchey for signing up for the OWL shifts we needed. We appreciate it.

MCC cancelled the MOmod test this morning due to a hardware communication issue.

At the moment we are on a downtime since 7:22am due to an issue with the Hall C laser (no current from laser, DTM ID 12916, https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4269596). We have been using this downtime to take NPS sweeper magnet on and off LED runs with the NPS at 3m. When beam comes back we will continue production data taking.

In response to the request from the SIDIS group, we cancelled the escorted access to move the NPS from 3m to 4m today. We currently plan to do it tomorrow now, but we can discuss in more detail if needed at the RC meeting.

We will meet today for the RC meeting at 11am.
