RC summary (Day 05/10/24 - Day 05/11/24)

All smooth since yesterday. 

As predicted, we made it to KinC_x36_1 midway through SWING shift yesterday (at 2130h - https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302291, https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302294), albeit a bit later than expected. This was because the CODA VNC crashed at the end of DAY shift (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302155). Once the problem was actually identified, the VNC was restarted, and data taking resumed at the end of the KinC_x60_1 setting (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302155). The Run Daemon was also restarted - the VNC crash halted it - but due to operator error, it was stopped a second time. It was restarted shortly afterwards, and now lives on a terminal on the CODA computer in the CH (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302210) - PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THIS WINDOW IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

A couple of other issues raised their heads last night, but nothing has halted data taking:
- The go_edtm script is unable to retrieve the EDTM frequency due to a channel time-out (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302345). The correct value is still visible on the scaler GUI, so that can be used instead.
- A strange structure was observed in one of the 50k replay plots for multiple runs (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302506, https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302578), although all others do not show obvious errors. This showed up in both LH2 and LD2 data.
- The go_gasFlow script seems to be intermittently dropping (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4302472). Since the log entry linked here, the SL attempted to use it again and reported that the issue had returned.

The current plan for the rest of today is to stay at KinC_x36_1, and run the 10-hour cycle that is listed until Monday morning.

We will hold an RC meeting today - usual time, usual place (11am, CH conference room) - to discuss the run plan for today and tomorrow.
