RC Report 03 April 2025

At the end of yesterday Swing shift, we were able to receive cw. A set of Harp scan were done. After some interactions of Bill Henry with MCC, the sigma are acceptable. Dave G. later found the offset Harps to BPMs need to be updated, since they are off in such a way that the latest harp positions make sense. 

When moving to Carbon hole, there was a mismatch protocol between our procedure and MCC's. It was required by MCC to ramp down completely SHMS, whereas we don't have these instructions. After some research, Bill H. agreed to ramp down SHMS. This morning, Doug confirmed that it is an old protocol in MCC which is outdated. During the ramping down, SHMS Q2 tripped. 

Late Owl shift, trying to set the Carbon hole, MCC found issues with the Ion Chambers. So, we were without beam since then. Since Heidi/Ellen will access the hall, and after I consulted the PD and MCC, whether accelerator ops will access the hall (MCC, at the moment of the call, didn't know if it was upstream or downstream). I decided to go to Controlled Access sweeping the hall. 

At the moment of this post, Ellen is accessing Q2, and I got a call from the PD that they don't need to access the hall (cool... sweep for nothing, good for you Carlos!), because they suspect the issue is due to low current, nevertheless they will access the hall next Maintenance day (next Wednesday).

SHIFT SCHEDULE: 
- we need to fill the Shift Leader slot for tomorrow Swing Shift. 
- Saturday and Sunday Swing are not filled at all. Please consider fill them... WE HAVE DONUTS!!
