[Hallc_running] [New Logentry] RC daily update -- 08/01/25

Yesterday, the Hall B pass change was complete earlier. Beam was resumed in the hall around 12 pm. We continued the third cycle of the z=0.5 data taking. Beam was down for 1 hour or so for MCC to investigate a smoke smell near 1L106. The z=0.5 kinematics is complete at 8 pm. The SHMS momentum is ramped down to 2.615 GeV/c to start the z=0.36 kinematics. Right after that, huge thunderstorms hit the area. Beam was not available until  9:45 pm. We decided to run the LD2 at 8 uA where the pTRIG1 could be as high as 910 kHz. It's slightly higher than the 900 kHz limit. 

Overnight, the LD2 first cycle is complete around 4:30 am. We're currently at the LH2 target full current run. The beam has been down since 7 am due to few RF issues. 

If things are running smoothly, we would likely complete the z=0.36 kinematics in the early Sunday morning, and switch to the positron background kinematics. 

We will hold our regular RC meeting today at 2:30 PM. The Zoom link is provided below.
