[Hallc_running] [New Logentry] RC Update -- Thursday 08/07/25 [Meeting at 2:30pm]

<h2>Current Status</h2>
<ul>
 <li>There is currently no beam due to Hall A beam studies. Taking advantage of the downtime, the Hall C techs (Jerry and Larry) accessed the hall to repair the roll-up door to the truck ramp. To facilitate this work, the hall has been taken to restricted access. </li>
 <li> MCC expects the first phase of Hall A beam studies to wrap up soon (around noon). After that, they should be able to deliver CW to us in parallel for production. The Hall C techs are aware of this timeline and are planning to complete their work accordingly.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Key Updates form Yesterday</h2>
<ul>
  <li>Yesterday, MCC completed their maintenance around 4 PM. However, they encountered multiple power failures afterward. We eventually received beam around 11 PM and went straight into production on LD2 at the z=0.5 e-pi+ setting (SHMS_theta = 11.07 deg).   </li>
  <li> We completed the first LD2 cycle around 2 AM, then moved to LH2 and requested 60 uA. However, due to frequent beam trips above 50 uA, MCC reduced the current to 48 uA, and we adjusted our max current accordingly. <br>
About an hour later, MCC informed us that they may have resolved the issue causing the trips and asked if we’d like to try 60 uA again. Since we had already completed the efficiency runs and MCC wasn’t certain the issue was fully resolved, we decided to continue the first LH2 cycle at 48 uA. Once this cycle is complete, we plan to attempt 60 uA again.</li>
  <li>We completed all the SIDIS and HMS-DIS runs during the first LH2 cycle before the beam went down this morning. Once beam is restored, we will take the SHMS-positron run and then move to the dummy target.</li>
