The Repairs of the Hall C C-ESC switchboard continues.

Facilities gave an update at the MCC morning meeting today:

As of yesterday the engineering plan has been approved to seal around conduits, install new drains in low point of pull box and divert water from wires to pull box bottom in order to stop water intrusion to the system via conduit. Also the approval of recommended materials was completed by ES&H.

Today and tomorrow third party engineers are on site to gather information and perform additional system testing.

The main Circuit Breaker located at the transformer was tested and requires replacement. Replacement and testing will start next week and it is planed to be completed by Tuesday next week. The scaffolding around the switchboard is scheduled to be removed on Wednesday next week pending on all prior repair work being finished according to plan and on the successful testing of the system.
