<p>We got beam last night and went through the beam checkout/centering procedure and ion chamber calibrations. Then we did trigger checkout and took calibration data for detectors and trigger PID checkout. We started the inelastic cross section calibration data taking sometime around midnight. When we got to the positron running and had to change polarities the HMS Q2 power supply quit in style (VESDA alarms, smokey hall etc.)</p>

<p>While Thia, Steve and the J/psi spokespeople are exploring options going forward, for now we are running SHMS to take: calibrations data for the NGC, inelastic cross sections for cross calibration with past data (includes positrons running) and a delta scan for optics studies.</p>
<p>Also of note: </p>
<p>--> We had to reset the rotation driver controllers for both spectrometers last night: many many thanks to awesome Holly for coming in on short notice on a Saturday evening to help out</p>
<p>--> MCC limited us to 15 muA last night; today we are getting about 30 muA (on LH2 we request 70 muA)</p>
