<p>Yesterday the NPS team completed the initial repair of column 24, 25 last night. We took overnight cosmic data, and the analysis showed there are a few channels that need to be fixed (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4255522">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4255522</a>). The team is down there already working on them. Once we are finished with the work, We will verify them with cosmic runs. We expect that we will be able to be ready for beam around 10-11am if all goes well. </p>
<p>During the downtime we also set the spectrometer angle and momentum for the new kinematics KinC_x36_6. Steve and Paulo came in and rotate the SHMS to 23.8 deg with help from Hall C Techs (Jerry, Larry and Bob). This is slightly off from what we initially wanted to set by 0.1 deg, and put the NPS angle to 7.5 deg (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4255364">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4255364</a>).</p>
<p>Once we get the beam back, we will start the tuning for the new kinematics (corrector coil settings, background scans, potentially optics). After the tuning is done, we will start the production data taking.
