<p>RC update (30th April 2024)</p>
<p>In the last 24 hours we have seen smooth production running in Hall C and some more tests on the LH2 target. Dave Meekins reversed the fan direction on the LH2 loop yesterday and also swapped the loop1 and loop2 controllers. Neither change seemed to have a big impact on the reconstructed event distribution along the target (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4292236">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4292236</a>). In addition, Chandan came over towards the end of the day shift and reduced the fan frequency on the LH2 loop (<a href="https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4292154">https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4292154</a>). We took regular production data on the LH2 in that configuration for several hours then restored the fan frequency to its nominal value as we changed to the LD2 target data-taking. Thanks to both Dave and Chandan for their help.</p>
<p>We are planning to change to the KinC_x36_4 setting later this morning, which requires manual rotation of the SHMS to 26.4 degrees. Dave Meekins plans to start warming the LH2 loop around midnight in anticipation of swapping LH2 to loop 3 tomorrow during the day. Tomorrow is a maintenance day. Beam will be off from 6.45am and we have requested a sweep after RadCon are done with the linacs. This will likely be around 10am. Dave Meekins, Ellen and possibly Heidi have work planned. If anyone else has anything they need to do in the hall, please let me know.</p>
