<p>During the Maintenance Day yesterday, the as-found survey of the GEM detectors on the pivot was accomplished. Thanks to Survey and Alignment for fitting that in their schedule, as well as the support from the Hall C techs and Spectrometer Support needed for getting this done. Beam came back to the hall around 7 pm. Beam checks (harp scans, carbon hole) looked good, and after checking the GEM rates at 1.5 uA, we were back in production on the empty 20 cm cell at 1.9 uA by ~8 pm.</p>
<p>At yesterday's RC meeting, it was decided that more background data is needed before the LAD run ends, so Dave Meekins came to the hall and vaporized the LD2 target while we were still in Restricted Access. We will continue taking data on the empty cell at these kinematics until about 4 pm. Around 4 pm, the HMS will be rotated to 13.5 degrees, and empty-cell running will continue until Friday morning. Friday, we will go to Controlled Access so that Dave Meekins can fill the 20 cm cell with hydrogen. This should take much of the day. After the cooldown, we will continue taking data on LH2 until the end of the LAD run (Monday morning).</p>
<p>If any other work needs to happen during the Controlled Access tomorrow, please coordinate with the RC.</p>
