It was decided during the RC meeting to skip setting #3 (intermediate setting) in the runplan to save time and get back to production data. We were done with the optics study around ~5:30pm and changed configurations (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4455077) to get ready for data taking at z = 0.5, thetapq = -0.2° (e,e'π-). Run 25531 was taken with an LH2 target but with the sieve slit still in place (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4454965). It was then removed, so runs after that should be ok. The log entry for the HMS rotation (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4454954) needed to be done using the digital camera next to the directly overhead analog camera since the analog camera feed was stuck. I took advantage of the downtime to go down to the Hall and power cycle the camera. It is now working- https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4455306 and the angle camera agrees with the GUI. </div><div><br></div><div>At 10:50pm, the polarity in the SHMS was reversed (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4455077) for production data at z = 0.5, thetapq = -0.2° (e,e'π+). During OWL, we continued to take LH2 data at max current until the beam went off at 5am.</div><div><br></div><div>Updates from the accelerator-</div><div>Beam is expected to be back late DAY/early SWING. We will collect elastic scattering data as opportunistic running with 1-pass beam. There is uncertainty about how much beam will be available to Hall C so the suggestion from MCC was to design the runplan in order of importance. The current runplan has HMS elastic scan first followed by the SHMS elastic scan.</div><div><br></div><div>Shift summaries</div><div>9/1 DAY- https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4454735</div><div>9/1 SWING- https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4454922</div><div>9/2 OWL- https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4455101</div><div><br></div><div>We will have the regular RC meeting at 2:30 pm today in the Counting House conference room.</div><div>Zoom link: https://jlab-org.zoomgov.com/j/1618227115?pwd=8JkhFg6YNesVc3HNgWjwUSIKIu5SvP.1</div><div>Meeting ID: 161 822 7115</div><div>Passcode: 253463</div><div>Dial-in: 833 568 8864</div><div>
