[Hallc_sidis_analysis] [EXTERNAL] Pion SIDIS paper

Dear Colleagues,
Our manuscript of the "Flavor dependence of charged pion fragmentation
functions"  from the pion SIDIS run group was not accepted by PRL.  The
paper was initially reviewed by 2 referees. After the first round of
reviews, we were able to convince one of the referees but not the other.
The editor added a 3rd referee who was not a fan of SIDIS at JLab and the
paper was ultimately judged not to fit the  PRL criteria.

After some discussion, we have decided not to appeal the PRL decision and
submit it to PLB.  We are working to implement some of the useful
suggestions by the most recent review and hope to resubmit next week. We
will send you the updated manuscript early next week. Thank you for all
your help.
