[Hallcsw] /volatile cut-over Tuesday @ 10am

Hi all,

The Hall C /volatile directories will be switched to new fileservers
tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10am.

In general this change should be transparent to users. All of the
existing data on /volatile will remain available on the new system with
the same pathnames.

However, if you have a job that is actively writing to /volatile at the
time of the cut over, its output will not be present (or may be partial)
on the new filesystem. Please email me if you find that is a problem.
In general it will probably just be simplest to rerun/regenerate that
file, but the old fileservers and their data will remain untouched for
a period after the new systems become active.

The new file servers and associated Lustre software are faster, larger,
and (hopefully) more stable than the last revision.
