Subject: Plate at the UofR

Hi Tim:

Good news!  The bottom plate, machined and with the steel support bars
bolted on, is now at the UofR.  Danny and I picked it up from Ross
this afternoon.   Tomorrow, our students will rough it up a bit to
improve epoxy adhesion and then clean it in preparation for Monday's
gluing operations.  Danny will communicate with you on a number of
technical issues and on the results of measurements.

One small step for.....
