[Halld-cal] Some observations from construction

Hi Elton:

Today's production was nine layers. The 1st Article construction is
going very well. The use of the silicone rubber to compress the
polyethylene sheet to prevent epoxy migration has worked perfectly so
far. In fact, it's interesting that, although the students use
slightly more epoxy per layer than we used in Modules 1 and 2, yet,
very little epoxy oozes out the sides and covers the layers below
it. The epoxy seems to travel and exit down the fiber channels
(grooves) and out the ends. As a result, so far the built is
remarkably clean along the long sides.

So far so good,

George
