Hi Christina and Matt,

I spoke briefly to Tim regarding the mechanical strength needed of the 
acrylic pane and he thought that 0.5 inch thick was a reasonable 
starting point. It could be thicker of course. I don't see a need to try 
thinner sheets as we want them to have fair mechanical strength.
