Hi CALWG folks:

Here are some new studies from Tegan on the omega-pi photon efficiency.

We can discuss them at the next meeting, on Nov 19.

Cheers, Zisis…

Hey Zisis. I tried to send this to the calorimetry mailing list (halld-cal at jlab.org<mailto:halld-cal at jlab.org>), but it bounced, saying 'posting to this list is restricted.' Would you send this out for me?

Hey.

Last meeting we had, I showed some update on Karthik's old Omega photon efficiency study with some fixed fits that Emily and I worked on over the summer. It was suggested to look at MC for a comparison; I found some signal MC that Karthik had on the farm and Sean helped me get the environment working to run the analysis over a Fall 2018 bggen sample. I meant to show them at the next meeting, but a bunch of them were cancelled and I forgot to send this email until now...

The plots are here: https://halldweb.jlab.org/doc-private/DocDB/ShowDocument?docid=6981

The slides from the October meeting are there along with the new plots for data, MC, and bggen (mostly I think the interesting files will be the 'OmegaMassFit' files to look at the mass distributions). I think bggen probably doesn't model the b1, which is what the plugin is built for, and probably it also doesn't have alot of the channels that contribute to the background in the data.

I'm guessing we might have to do quite a bit of signal MC work with various channels that should contribute to add to the bggen results to get something that resembles the data, but I'm wondering if some MC set for a realistic b1 analysis has maybe already been generated at some point.
