Hi,

The MKS vacuum controller Chris Keith mentioned has no digital control 
capability.   The auxiliary connector just has relays and analog 
outputs.  I believe we already have some of these in the solenoid 
control system.

The Lake Shore temperature controller he likes just has USB, IEEE-488 
and Ethernet outputs, no RS232.  I believe it can be controlled via 
EPICS so we likely will not have to implement an Ethernet driver in the 
PLC (unless we want to!).
