[Halld-controls] Connecting Ethernet devices in the Hall D controls system to the PLC

Hi,
How many devices do we have that have Ethernet interfaces?
Josh found a 10-channel device that allows the PLC to talk via TCP over
Ethernet. It costs around $650 so it's pretty cheap per channel ($65),
but I only know of one potential use, the Lakeshore temperature
controller Chris is looking at for the target cryo system.
Connecting RS232 to the PLC via the 435NBX costs around $350/channel, so
every time we switch from RS232 to Ethernet we save a bundle (using the
Point I/O RS232 modules costs almost the same per channel as the
435NBX). We haven't purchased more 435NBX modules so we have a chance
to switch to Ethernet now.
What current or future controls devices have or might have Ethernet
connections?
Thanks,

Sincerely,
Elliott
