Since I haven't heard anything back useful from NI to test and the controller booted without any issues in the EEL the "spare" PXI (8840) and chassis have been put back into the cabinet in the counting house.

That PXI should be ready to go (has the start-up program installed and has the same static IP as the current controller), the only gotcha is that is using port 1 (of 2). The current PXI (8135) is using port 2 (of 2).
