Dear colleagues,
We're sponsoring a workshop on pion polarizability to be held at JLab on Friday Sept. 27. The purpose of the meeting is to kickoff preparations for the approved JLab Hall D experiment to measure the charged pion polarizability (CPP), review the current status of theory, and to motivate new calculations.
The speakers at the workshop will include:
Jose Goity, Hampton Univ, "Testing ChPT with charged pion polarizability: status of theory"
Barbara Pasquini, INFN, "The gamma gamma -> pi pi reaction and pion polarizability"
Michael Ramsey-Musolf, Univ. of Massachusetts, "Pion polarizability and corrections to the muon g-2"
We'll have a meeting page posted next week with a preliminary agenda posted, and registration is encouraged. Remote participation will be facilitated and certainly encouraged if you can't attend in person.
For the JLab CPP spokespersons,
Rory Miskimen
