[Halld-cpp] [New Logentry] VME Discriminator installed

A JLab discriminator board was installed in the rocFMWPC1 crate to use in making a trigger from 
two of the PMTs so that the crate could be self-triggered and we could test the readout. 

The following was done very hastily since they were about to call for a sweep of the hall and I was told I only had a couple of minutes.

1. The first two trigger output channels of the discriminator were connected to the first two trigger inputs on the
TI board. This was done using a special cable that Nick made today. This is shown in the bottom figure, but it is a little hard to see since the cable had to have a black mesh covering to make it fire resistant. The frayed ends of the mesh obscure the view of the connectors, but I tried to plug them into the pins marked "TS#1" and "TS#2".

2. The top two cables going into the f250 from the PMTs were switched to the discriminator. I'm not sure which PMTs these correspond to.


I logged into the rocFMPWC1 VME crate and compiled the "vmeDSCSetThresholds" program in /gluonfs1/gluex/coda/3.07d/linuxvme/vmeDSC/test. This is a program provided by the DAQ group for setting the thresholds on the discriminator module. When I ran it though, it claimed that the firmware was too old (version 0x109 is on the board while the driver requires version 0x10c or later). The firmware will need to be updated by an expert, but I believe it can be done in place without an access.
