Another update from Bobby with a possible rotated position of the target assembly, showing which parts of the target holder might be seen by the beam in this orientation.

Hi Justin,
Heres what I was able to do, I drew a small circle around the center of the beam line for visibility, and I positioned the target approximately where the ball detent would first come into contact with the catch. I think this is where you would start feeling resistance in the handle but just before it breaks over and clicks. If it was under rotated its likely it was somewhere in the vicinity of this angle.
