Hi All,

  Minutes for today’s CPP Software meeting are posted. Please note that we will NOT have a
software meeting next week and will meet again in 2 weeks on 3/17. (Regular CPP meeting will still
take place on Wed. 3/9 though.)

Minutes[edit<https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php?title=%CE%A0_polarizability_Software_Meeting_Mar_3,_2022&action=edit&section=5>]
Attendees: David L., Mark I., Simon T., Andrew S., Rory M., Ilya L.

  *   FMWPC Library
     *   DFMWPCCluster
        * David is replacing the FMWPC clusterizer that was built into the DFMWPCMatchedTrack factory with the DFMWPCCluster class. Part of this includes adding x,y limits on the extent of the cluster to the DFMWPCCluster objects. These that can then be used to match the track projections. Placing DFMWPCCluster_factory consolidates the conversion from FMWPC coordinates to global lab coordinates in a single place.
        * Some discussion to clarify proper conversion between wire number and global coordinates.

     *   DFMWPCMatchedTrack
        * Need to add matches to DCTOFPoint objects. Some brief discussion. Decided David will add matching code to DFMWPCMatchedTrack.

  *   Monitoring
     * Andrew asked about if there was motivation for including kinfit info in his library other than for monitoring. (As opposed to holding it off until the final analysis). This led to a larger discussion on what plots will be needed for online monitoring.
        * Rory noted we will want invariant mass plots for e+/e- events and pi+/pi- events. We will want kinfit information for these if possible
        * Some plots from the proposal that indicate polarization as measured using data from FMWPC detector
        * Alex noted he is already working on adding plots to show residual position in FMWPC
        * Alex also noted the existing FMWPC_online plugin is intended for high statistics occupancy plots and we will want another plugin for the lower statistics plots that will require full tracking
        * Homework assignment for all to consider exact list of monitoring plots we would like in order to start working to get the required pieces to implement them.
        * David mentioned the possible use of Hydra for occupancy plots. Training on known possible failure modes in simulated data would be the best we could do for CPP since we don't have extensive beam data.

  *   halld_sim
     * Simon has a PR pending which fixes an issue Richard pointed out with a recent change to the event.xml file. This change makes the model backwards compatible. Alex was assigned as a reviewer.

  *   Next meeting in 2 weeks 3/17/2022

Action Items[edit<https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php?title=%CE%A0_polarizability_Software_Meeting_Mar_3,_2022&action=edit&section=6>]
