[Halld-cpp] [EXTERNAL] Re: CPP/NPP tagger simulation

Hi Igal,

Thanks for sending some information for reproducing this issue.

I think it should work properly if you use the CCDB variation "mc_cpp"
instead of "mc".

Also, I think someone should look at the tagger energy tables, to make
sure that the correct hodoscope energy ranges are zeroed out. I know
there's some overlap between both tagger counters, but I was noticing
a fair number of doubled tagger hits between the TAGH and TAGM, so
it's probably worth double checking this.

Cheers,
Sean

Sasha said that he would look at the tagger emulation after he had finished working on another project, which just happened to be the PrimEx flux calculation.

Naomi,

It has nothing to do with the flux. For my CPP/NPP simulation I am using an histogram for the incident photon beam generation. So at the generation level, there are photons. The issue is at the reconstruction level of simulated data, the BeamPhoton list is empty for most of the runs.

tks ig.

Sasha said he'd take care of it when he finished the PrimEx3 flux calculation. Best ask him about it,

Naomi.

Hi,

There seems to be an issue with the tagger simulation for most of the runs no photons are tagged. Did anyone check that? What should be the options used in the configuration file?

tks ig.
