Hello,

We would like to finish checking through the files from the most recent CPP
monitoring launch (#27) and fix any issues found before next Friday May 31,
please. Alex plans to start the final monitoring launch on May 31, so that
it will run over the weekend. Then we hope to look at the results before
the next calibration/production meeting and decide if we are ready to start
the production at last.

The list below shows the tasks that were assigned at this week's C&P
meeting, with some brought over from the CPP meeting that morning via Alex.
Below that I copied Alex's email which explains where to find the files.
If you find any serious problems, please make a note of them here
<https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/RunPeriod-2022-05_Validation#Launch_v27>
and
also let me know.

Mike, please could you take a quick look at the TPOL trees to make sure
that these are still ok?

   1. Sean - CPP - fix FDC timeshift & finish any other final checks
   2. CPP group - check REST files
   3. Ilya - CPP - fix FCAL time issues & check all skims
   4. Justin - CPP - check PSflux tree
   5. Naomi - CPP ask Mike D to check TPOL tree, and email the above with
   the 31 May request

Thank you!

Best regards,
Naomi.

Alex's email

Dear Colleagues,

We just completed the final monitoring launch for the 2022-05 CPP/NPP
data set. The geometry was updated and all detectors should be properly
calibrated. For the 720 runs selected with the RCDB query
"@is_cpp_production and status>0", we processed 10 evenly-spaced files
throughout the duration of each run.

Please check the calibration of your detector. In addition, we should
make absolutely sure that all the necessary information was included in
the REST files and that all skims and trees look reasonable:

* REST file: raw FMWPC, CTOF hits and matches, FCAL data for neural net
* trigger skims: ctof, ps, random, sync (converted_random without beam
fiducial map)
* tree_PSFlux, tree_TPOL
* physics skims: cpp_2c, npp_2g, npp_2pi0

The usual monitoring plots can be found in the PlotBrowser:

https://halldweb.jlab.org/data_monitoring/Plot_Browser.html

The merged histogram files can be found on the work disk at:
/work/halld/data_monitoring/RunPeriod-2022-05/mon_ver27/rootfiles/

The REST files, random trigger skims and several trees are saved on cache:
/cache/halld/offline_monitoring/RunPeriod-2022-05/ver27/REST/
