Eugene

      * we have a budget for materials not covered under 12 GeV, e. g.,
        computing equipment
      * we will be moving to Wing A, downstairs, beginning of May

Sergey F.

      * working on system to manage all of the DAQ components, hardware and
        software processes, centrally

David

      * updated translation tables in CCDB to use new ROC ID scheme
      * creating HD ops accounts, separate for different detector systems
      * testing Sergey F.'s new system
      * wiki will be upgraded on Wednesday
      * there was a joint meeting of Open House logistics committee and
        programming committee
           + parking information etc. is forthcoming
           + site clean-up: May 6-9
      * working on simulations for CPP
      * working on farm manager system

Tim

      * start counter design complete
           + out for fabrication, hub done by end of week
           + then fit checks with Fernando
      * target
           + review May 8, design and fabrication
           + installation cart in house, load test tomorrow
      * TOF surveyed, need decision on adjusting position
           + cable tray needed still
      * electrical power work on tagger racks
      * work on-going on beamline and vacuum controls
      * commissioning target design done
           + cart is next
           + some parts already in hand
      * solenoid PS, loose screw found
           + issue with slew rate being worked on
      * gas system, tomorrow leak check

Fernando

      * start counter
           + finishing tests, done by end of week
           + fit test next
      * TOF ready to start cabling
      * CDC all cabled, power/noise look good, waiting for gas
      * air cooling on CDC
           + temp in Hall was 75 F, should be 70 F, Facilities will
             decrease set-point

Sergey P.

      * optimized code for remote control of registers on ROCs
      * improved DB features: locations, slots, sending emails bout board
        needing service
      * TOF crates update with missing boards, bottom crate did not have
        power cord
      * need 2 more computers in Hall, also 2 new stands
      * 5 FADC-250 board changed out, Hai Dong took them

Sascha

      * finalized configuration file structure for FCAL and BCAL
           + both have same read-out list
           + introducing check on registers; check board initialized
             properly, ready this week
      * FCAL and BCAL have working CODA components now, optical links
        re-established
      * BCAL cosmic trigger work: TS not initialized properly
      * SSP, GTP functionality not ready yet
      * pair spectrometer in EEL 126, Wiener crate there
           + use source to scan files, will start tomorrow
           + box assembled, the counters fit
      * working on paper for IEEE on hodoscope

Alexandre

      * pair spectrometer mapping finalized
           + possible discrepancy between measured current and that set on
             front panel
           + waiting for final report from Survey
           + 2 mappings done
               1. from downstream, 2D
               2. from upstream 1D
                o some differences seen
           + angle variation on probe negligible
           + Tosca different from measurement, wrong steel used
           + working on procedure operate magnet
      * several magnets in arc need insulation

Lubomir

      * tests of FDC with scope all done
           + kept history of problems with strip channels
                o 50 channels (0.4%) with problems
           + all wires OK
           + Beni;s mini-DAQ finds problems too, correlates well
                o still some where scope sees problem and DAQ does not and
                  also the reverse
                     # former: needs trigger
                     # latter: not understood
      * gas system next
           + pressure test tomorrow
           + flushing procedures run through, showed need for labels
      * FDC alignment
           + Bill's scheme works for one cathode
           + model developed for how cathodes are tensioned: pitch plus
             position
           + see differences in splice-seam geometry; glue not cured enough
           + analyzing test of 3rd packages
           + 200 micron variation seen end to end
      * FDC and CDC moved 7 mm downstream
           + Beni: hinges not accounted for, rails too short
           + yaw and pitch good to 1.e-4 degrees, roll at 2% of a degree
           + connections checked after pushing, look good

Vanik

    Arrived today!

Simon

      * chamber alignment results shown at calibration meeting
           + get the rotation angle of cathode plane
      * studying dE/dx in CDC for dynamic range setting with Naomi
           + some parameters in code hard coded, converting to CCDB
      * worked on simulations for eta program, presented at physics meeting

Beni

      * CDC cabled
           + pre-amp temperature test: lower than expected with no cooling
           + AC turns to heater in winter, scheme need re-thinking
      * new system-specific ops accounts, migrating to them
      * CDC read-out must be started
           + firmware need to get newest version, can be done by VME
      * channel number scheme for Flash-125 does not start with 0 in
        read-out library
      * gas system procedures need adjustment

Mark

      * data challenge winding down except for the open science grid
      * OSG down now to update SRM
      * succeeded in using the SRM to transfer a file to JLab
      * offline meeting: discussed how to deploy data from data challenge

Elton

      * BCAL upstream and downstream working now
           + slow controls working well, some mods for guis will be
             suggested
           + LED pulser system working well
           + using north DAQ, setting pedestals
           + next: more LED testing and cosmics
           + Orlando Soto working on on SiPM-at-a-time test control
      * FCAL working well
           + some trouble with flashes, 5 swapped out
      * experimental readiness review, July 1-2
           + ESAD in draft form, needs sections on solenoid, gas system,
             drift chambers, and electronics
           + plan to use ACC hot-check-out system tool, collecting example
             items to present to ACC
           + will need shift instructions and manuals
           + will need online procedures

Dmitry

      * leaves next week!
      * trigger database
           + will leave alpha version
           + Sascha will supply parser of board info in the next few days
      * CCDB version 1.0 ready for testing

Hovanes

      * fiber installed by contractor
           + Mark not here to check
           + tomorrow meeting with Computer Center (CC)
           + conduits need running
      * 24 copper cables installed from counting house to Hall
           + should not normally be connected
           + if needed contact Hovanes or Fernando
      * Facilities will move fire extinguisher, recover stolen chair
           + Elton notes that fire extinguisher positions need to be
             accurate in emergency management guide
      * checked radiator moving device, Tom will install
      * Slava and H. put pair converter stand in FEL room
           + Eugene: need FSD system for radiator, some design may be
             needed
      * radiator stick made: 0.8, 30, 100 micron Al foil and 20 micron wire
        for scans
      * in contact with John Frye about mounting of beam profiler
      * gas system control: Dave Butler working them, Mike Staib working on
        controls GUI
      * meet with ACC on controls work for us
           + tagger magnet PS
           + NMR for tagger magnet
      * Nerses working on voltage alarms, changing names in EPICS for FDC,
        then can be sent for archiving
      * CSS: new version not backward compatible with scripts for GUI,
        class for channel access changed
      * BCAL voltages: feed-back from Elton on controls
      * Met with Elton, Hai, Fernando, and ACC on RF signal to Hall D
           + new scheme delivers signal via fiber, fiber already installed,
             allegedly
           + need to buy equipment to receive it, 4 k$
           + will need to redesign pre-scaler that Alam designed
           + signal at 10 MHz, jitter better than 1 ps
