[Halld-jlab] Commissioning

Hi all,

We have about one month to prepare the halls for first beam (Sept. 
19th). Next week, we will start "cleaning up" cabling and hardware which 
are not part of the official installation plan and which have been used 
during tests of the various parts of the detector readout, trigger, 
calibration, etc.. During this time, some cables (especially ethernet 
ones) will be disconnected and re-routed properly, so expect 
interruptions. Also, cables not meeting the NEC fire code requirements 
will be removed or made to comply, if needed.

Sub-system owners, please let me know if you need to keep any of the NIM 
crates, RG-174/178 cables, single twisted-pair cables, any hardware not 
attached to the racks.

Also, recently, a number of extra and un-labeled ethernet cables have 
been installed which are not part of the standard installation. These 
will be removed unless I hear from you as to their function.
