=Eugene=

* the plan is to have beam in the tagger hall in the period April 11-25
** schedule is for swing or weekends to avoid interference with installation
** first to dumplet
** then up ramp and to tagger magnet
* accelerator readiness review, end of August
* Halls/Physics review end of June
* end of this week: director's review
* "Lehman" in two weeks
* project schedule
** we are 6 weeks late with 7 months to go
** implies an average of 420 k$/month
** last month hit 850 k$
** should be able to make it

* last week ran 25 crates with trigger supervisor
** latency measured
** pulses from signal distribution front panel
** DAQ got stuck after 1/2 hour
*** similar to 12 crate error 2 weeks ago
*** Dave Abbott added monitors on gluon49
* last week changes to CODA
** stand-alone set-up with master TI
** problem could be with optical link, slave to master
* TI board changes came in from William Gu
* new CODA releases: had to back up to previous version
** some features did not work
* work with John Leckey
** debugging with external pulser
** getting intermittent hangs
* Hai has new firmware for BCAL cosmic trigger
** will check, then install in Hall
** trigger for flash as well

* installing hodoscope support frames
* tagger vacuum at 10<sup>-5</sup> Torr
** there seems to be small leak, not a big concern right now
* TOF: supports for steel shields in place
** in 3-6 days lift up onto FCAL frame
* CDC fiducialized
** reflectors being set today
** may go on cart this week
* gas system: close to buttoning up
** ready for leak checking
* electrical power
** help from ACC electricians
** Greg Arnold helping with UPSs
* flammable gas protection system worked out with Dave Kausch
* pair spectrometer mapping started
** Alexandre working on it
* cabling starts tomorrow for CDC
** will be surveyed after it is in
* FDC final z-position fixed tomorrow

* 3 contract people have been hired
** start assembling new racks for tagger hall
** go on to CDC cabling, Chris will work with them
** will be with us for two months
* TOF will need additional cable trays
* ready to install cables for pair spectrometer and start counter
* CDC has LV and bias cables attached
* wiring plan for LV and bias for tagger microscope done
** drawings sent to Richard Jones
** power supplies will be here end of June or July
* CDC instrumentation
** all crates installed in Hall
** Cody finalizing F125s
* Amtec returned 9 questionable FADC 125s
** 6 are still bad
** some of the boards on-hand work at 40 MHz bus speed, which should be 
good enough
** 20 to 25 more modules will be bought from a different manufacturer

=Beni=

* CDC survey: still the same dimensions as when surveyed at CMU
** new survey marks added and fiducialized
** ready for cat
** downstream window a concern: fragile and out-of-sight during installation
* FDC: see about 20 bad channels
** could be ADC problems (off chamber)
** two full connectors disappeared
** some noisy channels
** connected to ground via temporary route, need to check again
* gas system almost read for pressure testing
** need to develop flushing and operation procedures

=Alexandre=

* Wed. not OSP for pair spectrometer magnet mapping
** tested reproducibility, good to a few Gauss
** started mapping at 1.8 T, one dimension, along z
** today: 2 T mapping, 1D, z, at three x positions
** started 1.5 T
** 3D map for 21.8 T, start Wed. go to next week
* NMR probe will not lock
** getting help from magnet group
** did work for a few days

* FCAL
** fixed all problems
** waiting for DAQ to verify
* BCAL
** 2 external scintillators installed for a cosmic trigger
** pulser working with new distribution boards
** upstream chiller working
** downstream need check off from Facilities
** interlock with temperature system not working

* Orlando finish with BCAL pulser GUI, LEDs and electronic
* for BCAL, designing GUI
* with Yi and Slava, looked at goniometer and amorphous radiator
** will give back to Tom Carstens tomorrow afternoon
* Dave Butler finished power supply interlock for FDC
** next job: gas system controls
* PMTs for halo counters ordered
** CAEN HV board ordered as well
* total absorption counter from Hall B moved to ESB
** will need crate and electronics for test
* meeting held with Computer Center on wiki replication
** will have read-only replica served from counting house
* new wireless SSID: jlab_halld
** on online network

* working with Vardan on the farm manager
** have specs for configuration file format
** will be needed for monitoring and level 3
* F125 firmware is the first priority for Cody
** VME-based upload possible now
* work on ROOTSpy build system
** needed for fast DAQ for solenoid from Yi
* open house plan
** will get exemption for shielding blocks on platform
* charged pion polarizability
** study done on supporting extra weight of muon detector
** working on the FDC hit code from Geant3 simulation, fixed some bugs
* plug-in to emulate pulse integration
** added to the EVIO plug-in
* CODA 3.0 has inconsistent mapping
** may need extra level of translation
* GlueX software bench-marking package
** to help Graham Heyes with farm procurement decisions
** not dependent on version of glibc
* E-logs
** more logbooks defined, 10 of them
* inventory transfer done from Elliott to David

* created a model for the commissioning target
* working on alignment parameters
** got a cosmic generator from CMU student
* working on simulating &eta; to 
&pi;<sup>+</sup>&pi;<sup>-</sup>&pi;<sup>0</sup> for Dalitz plot analysis

* Data Challenge
** froze code Thursday
** known problems all fixed
** had touch-base meeting Friday, settle details
** started running jobs Friday night
** over weekend more than 2000 jobs, 24 hours each, variety of 
background intensities
** LQCD nodes being flipped now, today will add 1000 cores from LQCD to 
Physics farm
** 2600 jobs running now

** Sent email: original-list people should store in counting house, 
officially

* continue work on solenoid
** communication with new control board
** remote control of balance resistor for quench protection
** George Biallas will review progress and schedule
* work on online, ROOTSpy
* no news on PID upgrade

* working on LDRD proposal
** new TOF with 10 ps resolution

=Eugene=

* solenoid cryo plant being repaired
* target: July for cool-down
* short sample sent to Netherlands for testing

* working on trigger database
** trigger and inventory database have been connected
** now have information from CODA on what run it is
* CCDB discussion with Sean Dobbs
** new features suggested and implemented
** version 1.0 due out soon
** documentation updated

* installation of optical transceivers
** one TD spare
** more transceivers ordered[?]
** several TIs need them
* FCAL, BCAL CTPs installed
* 2 PCs installed in Hall on temporary tables
* 5 pre-amps for Richard came in

** doing updates to track electronics
* working on tools to check status of boards connected to ROCs
