  Hall D Staff Meeting, November 13, 2017

Present: Alex Austregesilo, Thomas Britton, Eugene Chudakov (chair), 
Mark Dalton, Alexandre Deur, Hovanes Egiyan, Sergey Furletov, Mark Ito, 
David Lawrence, Paul Mattione, Lubomir Pentchev, Elton Smith, Sascha

    Announcements

  * Eugene showed some pictures of the DIRC in the Hall.
  * The appraisal cycle is in progress.


    Preparations for the Run

  * Tim:
      o solenoid
          + mass flow controller tested
          + liquid sensor refurbished, will be swapped in
      o will move platform by end of week for muon chamber
  * David:
      o will run cosmics overnight, turn on monitoring systems
      o AMD computer has bad Ethernet, even after coming back from repair
          + may get retired to the online farm
      o run period changed over to "2018-01"
  * Sergey:
      o will run CODA 3.07
      o doing high luminosity preparation with new gluonraid 4, 2
        network interfaces
  * Alex: starting "incoming" processing launches
  * Sascha:
      o one FADC bad in tagger crate, now fixed
      o tagger hodoscope powered
      o next: go through sub-detectors one-by-one
  * Mark I.: JLab shifts will be assigned next week after domestic swap
    period concludes
  * Paul: will be helping with diamond alignment again this run
  * Mark D.: FCAL will get new voltages
  * Hovanes:
      o all Dell computes were restarted last week
          + if any IOCs are missing, let him know
      o working on gamma profiler read-out upgrade with Ben Raydo
      o V-wire control needs further development
  * Alexandre: we still have one empty run coordinator schedule slot
  * Lubomir: hardware interlock for FDC low-voltage chiller complaining
  * Elton: we need to start working on HCO for the Hall


    Data Processing

  * Paul: almost ready to start reconstruction pass.
      o tagger timing needed calibration over weekend by Sean Dobbs
          + Alex is doing a monitoring launch to look at results
      o goal is to launch by tomorrow morning
  * Simon: working on track matching to BCAL
      o found and fixed an issue with start counter matching
      o deterioration of matching efficiency with BCAL material added
        not understood
      o launch will proceed without new matching code and an air BCAL
