  Hall D Staff Meeting, February 3, 2020

    Announcements (Eugene)

  * Staff Scientist search choice has been made and transmitted to Rolf.
  * No budget for FY20 yet.
  * Procurements: send Eugene plans, FCAL2 is on the list


    Engineering (Tim)

  * Working with Sasha on clean room for FCAL2 fabrication.
  * Summer projects:
      o tagger magnet window and O-ring replacement
      o power supply cooling water plumbing preventative maintenance
  * Design projects
      o FCAL2 in drawing phase
      o CPP in modeling and drawing phase
      o 3-D printing applications coming fast and furious


    Accelerator Schedule (Eugene)

  * Next year: start with PrimEx
  * go to one month of short-range correlations
  * then GlueX
  * Run will last from Jan. to Sep.
      o in May or June reduction of energy by about 1 GeV
      o nuclear program will finish early July
      o after that energy goes even lower for physics in other Halls
          + Charged Pion Polarizability could run if ready
          + Neutral Pion Polarizability another candidate for low-energy
            running
