    Hall D Staff Meeting, April 5, 2021

Present: Alexander Austregesilo, Eugene Chudakov (chair), Mark Dalton, 
Alexandre Deur, Hovanes Egiyan, Mark Ito, Igal Jaegle, Keigo Mizutani, 
Lubomir Pentchev, Sascha Somov, Simon Taylor, Tim Whitlatch, Beni Zihlmann


    Announcements, Eugene

  * Accelerator schedule is holding
  * DOE-mandated accountability exercise will be conducted April 8
  * We have an open staff scientist position
      o applications have started arriving
      o there will be talks from the candidates
  * EIC: call for proto-collaborations has gone out
      o aiming for proposals by Dec.
      o cost and schedule need to be provided
      o current budget only covers one detector; two would make sense
  * Lab will issue white paper on the 12 GeV program
      o with glimpse to the future as well
      o including possible energy upgrade, roughly a doubling
  * Please read the weekly briefs, important announcements may appear there
