  Hall D Staff Meeting, March 8, 2021

Present: Alexander Austregesilo, Eugene Chudakov (chair), Mark Dalton, 
Alexandre Deur, Hovanes Egiyan, Sergey Furletov, Mark Ito, Igal Jaegle, 
Keigo Mizutani, Lubomir Pentchev, Patrizia Rossi, Sascha Somov, Simon

    Announcements, Eugene

  * Letters of Increase went out
  * Accelerator status: CHL 2K cold box on schedule
  * Upgraded Injector Test Facility (UITF) beam test on HDIce target
      o results disappointing
      o request submitted for another week of tests to understand
        obstacles to heat removal
  * Lattice calculation of gluex distribution announced by Jianwei Qiu
  * People need to make a plan to complete their property validation
  * All-Hands meeting announced for Thursday a 3 pm
  * Lab was expecting guidance from DOE on Medcon levels, no news yet
  * Patrizia: SOLID CD0 review started today


    Work in the Hall, Tim

  * Moved platform three times today
      o Survey and Alignment were in the Hall
      o position repeatable to 300 μm
      o move was in a southerly direction by 4 mm
  * TOF was surveyed at 4 mm too high
      o Beni sees the hole 5 mm too low in data
  * Other plans for the week:
      o there is an issue with the vacuum valve control signals (the
        valves themselves are fine)
      o replacing cold cathode for insulating vacuum for coil 3
      o BDX tent will be cleaned
      o nothing to be done on the DIRC by the technical staff
      o there is a leak in air system for cycling vacuum valves
          + some leaks fixed
          + compressor was running continuously
