Hall-D will be a tour stop and we</div><div>will be bringing visitors into the hall and counting house. The plan is to bring</div><div>them in through the counting house and out through the truck ramp. </div><div><br></div><div> We are in need of a lot of volunteers to cover the long path visitors will be</div><div>walking through Hall-D. A couple of people have already signed up, but</div><div>we need a *lot* more. Physicists, Technicians, Engineers and Designers are</div><div>all needed. Visitors are interested in ALL aspects of what we do here so</div><div>please don’t hesitate to sign up.</div><div><br></div><div> If need be, I will be paying visits to folks to provide additional motivation</div><div>at the end of next week. In 2012, between 7,000 and 8,000 people attended; and we are <br>expecting at least as large a turnout this year. The visitors were <br>excited to see many of the lab’s facilities and were interested to learn <br>about what we do.<br><br>The key to the success of Open House is our volunteers – you and your <br>co-workers, members of our user community, students, and even our family <br>members over 13 years of age – are needed to fill a wide variety of <br>volunteer taskings for the event.<br><br>This year, we are planning to show portions of the CEBAF tunnel; Halls <br>A, C and D; the Test Lab/TEDF complex, portions of CEBAF Center, the <br>Machine Control Center and a portion of the Free-Electron Laser <br>Facility. Many other lab workgroups will have displays and exhibits set <br>up under tents and in conference rooms and lobby areas.<br><br>We need volunteers of all sorts – those who like to speak to our <br>visitors and those who prefer not speak, those with special knowledge <br>and those who would like to be a pair of hands. We need scientists and <br>non-scientists, engineers and non-engineers.
