<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Announcements.2C_Eugene">Announcements,
Eugene</span></h2>
<ul>
<li> Appraisals: Physics Division calibration has been done</li>
<li> Work Space: SRF needs more, other groups likely will be
squeezed</li>
<li> Budget: on capital funds, Rolf approved finishing the
DIRC
<ul>
<li> PMTs will all be bought this fiscal year</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li> FCAL upgrade
<ul>
<li> Physics will contribute, but more than that will be
needed</li>
<li> Crystals (@ $900) only about half the cost, the
rest electronics</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li> travel abroad for more than 30 days will require
training</li>
<li> foreign nationals visiting the lab to work must be
under auspices of an MOU or CRADA
<ul>
<li> meetings do not count</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li> Main Hall D page has been updated to match style of new
Lab website design. Please fix or report any links that
are broken</li>
<li> Beni: in the event of a government shut-down, all labs
will close after three weeks</li>
<li> Solenoid will stay on as long as there is a chance of
running this month.</li>
</ul>
<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Data_Analysis">Data Analysis</span></h2>
<ul>
<li> Alex A.: 2017 high intensity reconstruction pass almost
done. Should be over by Wed.
<ul>
<li> 5 runs were processed earlier for low vs. high
intensity comparison. FCAL is not a problem anymore.
Differences in reconstruction efficiency now down to
5% level</li>
<li> People looking at MC samples to see what
differences to expect</li>
<li> ρ efficiency almost flat with energy, same for high
and low intensity periods</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li> Simon: new matching scheme almost ready for general
release</li>
<li> Elton: problem with change in BCAL efficiency due to
material maps fixed.</li>
<li> Lubomir: better understanding of Bethe-Heitler
generators now
<ul>
<li> efficiency agrees with MC</li>
<li> 2016 vs 2017 differences remain</li>
<li> must cut 1/2 of statistics to reduce pion
background</li>
<li> hope to have J/ψ cross sections in few weeks</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li> Alex A.: flux calculation changes from version 1 to
version 2 of reconstruction</li>
