          <h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Announcements_.28Eugene.29">Announcements
              (Eugene)</span></h2>
          <ul>
            <li> Two safety incidents:
              <ol>
                <li> electrical shock from power supply, experienced
                  engineer, knocked down</li>
                <li> laser not turned off, impinged safety goggles of
                  student, no harm done due to PPE</li>
              </ol>
            </li>
            <li> budget for FY20 about the same as for FY19
              <ul>
                <li> Hall D will get funds for the insert, 560 crystals
                  this FY, perhaps 1200-1600 in total eventually</li>
              </ul>
            </li>
            <li> Marco Battaglieri is the new Hall B leader. He starts
              in September</li>
            <li> Open positions:
              <ul>
                <li> Technician I: Tim has submitted the paperwork,
                  replaces Tom Carstens</li>
                <li> Staff Scientist: should be advertised soon</li>
                <li> Postdocs: two position open, candidates have been
                  identified and and offers being prepared</li>
              </ul>
            </li>
            <li> New Proposals: K<sub>L</sub> and short-range
              correlations</li>
            <li> Accelerator:
              <ul>
                <li> will install a refurbished C100, should get to 11.6
                  GeV for Hall D</li>
                <li> Replacement for Arne Freyberger will be taking up
                  position soon, coming from Fermilab</li>
              </ul>
            </li>
            <li> Users' Group Meeting: interest/attendance fractured by
              interest in either 12 GeV or EIC</li>
            <li> Windows 7 will be phased out, alternate solutions must
              be devised</li>
          </ul>
          <h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Hall_Status_.28Tim.29">Hall
              Status (Tim)</span></h2>
          <ul>
            <li> DIRC
              <ul>
                <li> problem with optical box, carbon steel and aluminum
                  surfaces reacting, lower mirror stained. Greg Kalicy
                  trying to clean it</li>
                <li> doing experiments to try to seal metal surfaces</li>
                <li> upper optical box to go in in 2 weeks</li>
                <li> mirrors may have to be replaced</li>
              </ul>
            </li>
            <li> Next task TOF upgrade</li>
            <li> Hole made in pair spectrometer shield well for detector
              tests on north side if upstream platform
              <ul>
                <li> detectors under test may inhibit personnel access</li>
              </ul>
            </li>
            <li> Hall D refrigerator will start cool-down next week</li>
          </ul>
          <h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Other_Items">Other Items</span></h2>
          <ul>
            <li> Beni: new propanol behaves like previously used alcohol
              <ul>
                <li> Tim: perhaps add pressure sensor near mass flow
                  controller</li>
              </ul>
            </li>
            <li> Eugene: need to make end-of-fiscal-year purchases</li>
            <li> Elton: Bert Yost contacted lab about available "free"
              electronics, NIM, CAMAC, FastBus. Chris Cuevas looking
              into it</li>
            <li> LOI theory technical reviews: received by Elton
              (neutral pion polarizability) and Alexandre (GDH sum rule)</li>
          </ul>
