Hi Alex,

I’ve gone ahead and switched the assignments so that gluon47 is now listed as “Trigger”.
We’ll need to talk with Manuel about what best suits the FCAL needs since they had
issues running on certain machines. I just put gluon01a and gluon02 for now since I
think they had been using those.
Hi David,

gluon47 is the trigger PC (see the initial assignment below).
We can move FCAL to gluon53.

I don't know whether Sergei F. wants to stay with gluon50 for
the DAQ testing (?)
Cheers,
Hi,

Following up some discussions during our last meeting:

1) In order to avoid 'interference' with running multiple event
builders on the same host (for stand alone DAQs) I propose
that we use the following host assignment for subdetectors
which are being commissioned now:

FCAL: gluon49
BCAL: gluon50
CDC: gluon51
FDC: gluon52

Other daq hosts in use:
gluon46 David Abbott
47 Alex
48 Mark
53 Vardan

2) The translation table that links the coda component
name with the unique ID number will be implemented in the
new coda release (Vardan and David A. are working on it).
The table will be used in creating coda configurations.

Cheers,
Hi All,

I just wanted to send a reminder that we have a list of node assignments on the wiki that
should serve as a guide to detector groups on where to run their DAQ systems. The page
is linked below. These should be considered suggestions to help keep us from stepping on
each others toes rather than hard and fast rules. Please note that I made a few modifications,
including adding assignments for the tagger, PS, TOF, and Start Counter.

Also, as part of the large scale DAQ testing, we are going to need to pull some hardware
used for the high speed ethernet connections from gluon46, gluon48, and gluon51. These
will be reconfigured to use a 1GB ethernet connection for the DAQ (135) network so they will
still work just fine for current purposes.
