[Halld-offline] Hall D reconstruction problems

Dear Offliners,

As a follow-up to the talk I gave today at the
offline meeting, I am sending out my call for help
regarding the reconstruction problems we have been
encountering.

There are two main issues,
1. reconstruction program sometimes hangs when processing
specific events

2. reconstructed momentum is vastly different for positively
charged tracks when assuming proton or pi+ as identity.
pi+ tracks of 1-10 GeV/c get reconstructed as ~0.5 GeV/c
protons when using the proton hypothesis.

As examples, I have pulled out some of the events
and saved them as individual hddm files.

The files for problem #1 are in:
http://dustbunny.physics.indiana.edu/~kmoriya/2010.12.13.infiniteloop/
readme.txt contains the previous email I sent out,
and gives descriptions for the other files.
The main file is
http://dustbunny.physics.indiana.edu/~kmoriya/2010.12.13.infiniteloop/badevents.hddm
which contains 3 events that sometimes, but not always hang when
processing. Even if people could run any reconstruction programs
on this file and tell us if they see a hangup or segfault, on
whichever event, that might assist us in identifying the problem.

The files for problem #2 are in:
http://dustbunny.physics.indiana.edu/~kmoriya/2010.12.13.mismatch/
and again readme.txt contains the descriptions
for the other files.

Any kind of feedback is very welcome.

Thanks,

	Kei Moriya
